Sefton Council is backing this year’s Flood Action Week, taking place from Monday 22nd November to Sunday 28th November, to ensure that the Borough’s residents and businesses are aware of the potential risks and are prepared to act in the event of flooding.

Flooding is a serious problem in this area, and it isn’t helped by people removing the grass from their front gardens and replacing it with flagstones or gravel. This leaves the water with nowhere else to run, but down on to the streets, resulting in overflowing drains and flooded gutters and pavements.
